Always moving south of Syracuse, picturesque caves and rocks plunge into the crystal clear sea with surprising seabeds, ideal for diving are the waters of the Plemmirio marine protected area  .

Along the coast of the Plemmirio peninsula you will find over 30 accesses with rocks and free beaches:

for example in via trsversa Sant'Agostino you reach Punta della Mola, from Punta Castelluccio Punta del Gigante, passing through the Capo Murro di Porco lighthouse to reach the Fanusa locality.

Not to be missed for those who love the wild beach, surrounded by gorges bathed by a beautiful blue and crystalline sea, the locality of Punta  Asparano and  O gnina .

The whole area is surrounded by the typical Mediterranean scrub which alternates between rocks and solitary coves on its coast. Easy to reach, the town of Ognina welcomes a small fishing port and / or private establishments.

A little further on we are near  Avola,  white sand and shallow waters stretch out along the marina of Avola with numerous equipped beaches and large stretches of free coast passing through  Gallina and Ferro di Cavallo .

Via Elorina takes us up to Noto, to reach  Noto marina   with its coastline to be discovered near the nearby  Eloro beach   and the vestiges of the ancient Greek city reachable through a picturesque path, where you can breathe quiet and secluded atmospheres. These are the waters of the splendid  VENDICARI RESERVE    with its pristine beaches; along the coast of the reserve, the  MARIANELLI BEACH  and the more famous   CALAMOSCHE BEACH , are completely free beaches. You can arrive by car in the vicinity and continue on foot for a few minutes.

South direction towards Pachino between vineyards of Nero d'Avola and an intense perfume of cherry tomatoes just after the reserve the characteristic  BEACH OF SAN LORENZO   50 km from Syracuse which stretches along a very fascinating stretch of coast for the beauty of the sea that bathes it , a real unspoiled heritage of large beaches and small coves. The beach of San Lorenzo is characterized by a beautiful coastline of fine light sand, with a crystalline sea and the seabed that slopes gently towards the open sea. The coast is also well equipped with all the necessary services to make relaxing days by the sea pleasant. The picturesque village of Marzamemi is certainly worth a visit.

The journey along the south east coast of Sicily ends in   PORTOPALO DI CAPO PASSERO   in front, the magnificent beach and  L 'Isola Delle Correnti extreme southern border of Tunis.
